This bear lives at the San Francisco zoo, and every time I go there it seems like he is sick or at least very uncomfortable.
As a resident of San Francisco I really appreciate the zoo. It offers glimpses of other worlds, and the site of wild animals eases stress, but when I see an animal who looks as stressed as I am I start to wonder.
Is it worth it?
I know each critter has their own story, (some of them are from other zoos), but
can't we provide something better?
I sense suffering from this animal.
Do you?
If so write to them, donate money to the zoo, or at least go there and spend eight dollars to witness their reality. It takes money to run a animal
confinement zone.
I personally do not like zoos but upon further instruction I have learned that each animal does in fact have a story.
One animal lost its mother(couldn't have survived without her) so it lives at the zoo.
One bear was harrassing a town and raiding their property, so it now lives at the zoo.
Some of the monkeys came from a private owner who died from old age.
One of the lions came from Marine World in silicon valley.
They all have stories and need our support.
Go to the Zoo, it's fun and they have a neat little train to ride around in.
